Avalon Arts Academy: Adult Improvisation

In its inaugural year, the Avalon Arts Academy will introduce arts lovers to the experience of live theatre by expanding their knowledge of the craft through the various disciplines in the Avalon Arts Academy. 

The Avalon Arts Academy Spring 2024 semester will foster arts education in aindividualized class settings for adults ages 14 to 99.

Wondering about improv? Wanting to get your feet wet onstage without a large audience to perform in front of? This class will provide you with the basic fundamentals of improvisation to increase your comfort and familiarity with the stage through improv games and scene work. The class is intended for adults 18+ 


INSTRUCTOR: LIZ HAMMOND

Liz is a Marysville native and in her tenth year of teaching middle school. She has performed in over 20 productions and has assisted/directed camps, plays, musicals, and theater troupes for nearly 10 years. Liz is excited to combine her passion of teaching with her love of theater for this introductory class! 


Participants must be registered prior to the first Tuesday of their chosen class.
